Since launching her live talk show in July, former syndicated radio jock Wendy Williams has posted double-digit gains in all key demographics. The Debmar-Mercury
media company, which produces and distributes ‘The Wendy Williams Show,’ announced that the FOX television network will renew the daytime talk show through 2012.
Debmar-Mercury co-president Mort Marcus credited the show’s Ask Wendy advice segment , ‘How You Doin’ opening and Hop Topics entertainment headline rehash for the runaway success. “Her substantial growth in the key rating demos, which stations care about the most, has quickly put her program within striking distance of many of today’s established and successful talk shows,” Marcus said.
