This is Mariah's 12th album and I must say it's a hit! It's an R&B heavy album that offers upbeat, mid-tempo, and slow jams. It brings out her ghetto side that I have dubbed "Marquisha" lol. The Dream, Tricky, and Mariah wrote their a**es off for this album. Him and Tricky did a great job with production as well. A great album all the way through, probably one of the best female albums this year. It's a must buy! I believe that this album is even better than her breakout album 'Emancipation of MiMi. Overall rating 5/5 stars.

Note* All songs written by The Dream, Tricky, & Mariah Carey/produced by The Dream & Tricky unless stated otherwise!

"Betcha Gon' Know (The Prologue)"- This is a nice track and gets very deep! It talks about MiMi having her heart broken and feelings hurt, saying how she will have the last laugh and he's gonna know how she felt, but his pain will be worse.

"Obsessed"- This was the first single from the album, later given the title of a buzz single. It's a nice song featuring nice metaphors like "I see right through you like you're bathing in windex" or "You're all up in my George Foreman". We know this song was about Eminem, but after he leaked those voicemails that MiMi left on his phone...it's pretty obvious she did mess with him(how you doin' in my Wendy Williams voice) so it defeats the purpose of the song, but still a jam in my eyes.

"H.A.T.E.U." - HATEU stands for having a typical eemotional upset. This probably is one of my favorite songs on the album, and probably one of my favorite Mariah Carey songs of all-time! The song explains she found a great love, but she's having a breakdown and she can't wait to ruin it because it's too good. I love her delivery on this song, it almost brought me to tears; ALMOST!!!

"Candy Bling" -Mariah talks about her being spoiled by an ex and how they fell off track and out of love, and sometimes she wish she could go back to get what they had. It contains a sample of 'Back In The Day' performed by Ahmad, so additional writers are Ahmad Lewis/Stefan Gordy/John Klemmer/Dram. Additional producer on the track was Los Da Mystro.

"Ribbon" - This beat goes hard and it's basically how MC is so in love, caught up in this particular guy...wrapped up in him like a ribbon with a bow on it! She states they may argue or fight...but them b**ches better know that he's her baby. Her flow is so smooth, and did I mention how good this beat is? lol

"Inseparable" - A song about true love that was shattered and saying how she thought her and her man were inseperable, but that wasn't the case; and hopefully one of them comes to their senses and picks up the phone to get it back right. I can so relate to this song and I'm sure other people will too! This song is definitely worth the listen and samples Cyndi Lauper's 'Time after Time' so additional writers were Cyndi Lauper & Robert Hyman.

"Standing O" - She went hard on this song! She gives her ex a standing ovation for breaking her heart. You can surely tell this was written by The Dream from her vocal delivery & echos but it fits perfectly. This another relateable song if you've ever had your heart broken.

"It's a Wrap" - A man does MC wrong and she strikes the nerve to tell him she's done with it. Again another slick line from the writing department when she says "put all yo shit in the elevator, it's going down like a denominator!" I love her delivery once again, but I must say this song strongly reminds me of Ashanti's song 'Dreamaker' from her Chapter II album.

"Up Out My Face" - I can see this being a single from the album, it brings out her ghetto side Marquisha lol. The writing is great and has some interesting lines like "I thought we had something special, thought we had something good, but I should've had another mechanic up under my hood." Or "If we were two lego blocks even the Harvard University graduating class of 2010 couldn't put us back together again."

"Up Out My Face (The Reprise)" - Just an instrumental outro for the previous track with a more college big band feel. (Maybe a little tribute to her hubby Nick Cannon from his role in Drumline lol)

"More Than Just Friends"- Song about someone who is infactuated with another and wants to be more than just friends! This song is so smooth and contains a sample of Notorious B.I.G's 'One More Chance' additional writers Sean Combs, B.I.G, Rashad Smith, Mark DeBarge, & Etterlene Jordan.

"The Impossible" - Im so in love with this song. She's saying how someone that loves her and treats her right, and how she almost gave up. She didn't think it would happen so it was the impossible. This song is so deep to me and is a must listen. The song contains a sample of Jodeci's 'Forever My Lady' so additional writers are Devante Swing & Al B. Sure.

"The Impossible (The Reprise)"- This one is definitely a baby maker if you put it on repeat lol. It bumps so smooth, just another instrumental with some ad libs.

"Angel (The Prelude)- This is so damn beautiful and probably my favorite track. Never heard someone do a harmony with that signature high note of her's WOW!

"Angels Cry"- The writer for this song was Crystal Johnson. Nice ballad about a bad breakup that she felt angel's cry because it was too good of a love to let go. True love is a gift Mariah states.

"Languishing (The Interlude)" - This song was written by James Wright. A song about a love that MiMi doesn't understand what kind of love she has for this man; and how different they are. This prelude flows well into the next song.

"I Want to Know What Love Is"- This song was written by Mick James, and produced by Randy Jackson & James Wright. It's a great rendition of the Foreigners hit from back in the day. This song also serves as MC's second single from the album.

The album is in stores now!
